- macos: Tailscale 1.104 requires macOS 13 Ventura or later. The current release does not run on macOS 12 Monterey.
- windows: Current releases require Windows 10 or later, or Windows Server 2016 or later. The EXE selects the package for your system; MSI files are architecture-specific. Windows 7 and 8 use an archived legacy release, not the current installer.

Which Tailscale Windows installer should I choose?
Use the current official Windows EXE to let it select the package for your system. For a manual MSI installation, choose amd64 for 64-bit Intel or AMD Windows, arm64 for Windows on Arm, or x86 for 32-bit Windows. Current releases require Windows 10 or later, or Windows Server 2016 or later.
Where is the official Tailscale 1.44.3 installer for Windows 7 or 8?
Tailscale’s official package archive still lists version 1.44.3. Open the labeled legacy archive on this page and choose the amd64 MSI for 64-bit Intel or AMD Windows, or the x86 MSI for 32-bit Windows. Tailscale’s January 2024 security bulletin identifies this legacy update for Windows 7 and 8. Download availability does not establish current support or guarantee that sign-in and connectivity still work.
Why does the current EXE not offer the Windows 7 package?
Tailscale 1.68 stopped automatically fetching the Windows 7 and Windows 8 MSI packages. Use the explicitly labeled legacy archive when locating an old installer. Reinstalling it is not a verified fix for connection failures or repeated Windows network prompts.
Does current Tailscale run on macOS Monterey?
No. Tailscale 1.104 requires macOS 13 Ventura or later. Check the official changelog before updating an older Mac; choosing an Intel or Apple-silicon build does not override the macOS requirement.
Does Tailscale have an official Android app?
Yes. Tailscale’s Android installation documentation links to its Google Play listing. Use that route to check device compatibility. A Windows, Mac or Linux installer cannot be installed as an Android APK.
Is Tailscale 1.44.3 still supported on Windows 7?
Current Tailscale installation documentation requires Windows 10 or later. Version 1.44.3 is a historical Windows 7/8 security update.
